If it’s possible to change
Why should I limit my range?
It’s the system that got me here in the first place.
Inhibiting, strangling, the only option’s their pills.
Telling me to dream big but still imposing it’s will.

You scale their walls, they secretly wait for you to fall.
Their applause, a ruse, saying you’ve achieved it all.
But if the sky’s our limit, why do they train moon walkers?
And the one percent believe that Mars is theirs to conquer?
These the same gangsters that said the earth was flat.
While they pillaged and plundered a whole world, priestly monarchs got fat.
It begs the question, who seeded your imagination?
Do you blame the system, your parents, or the congregation?
Cause it’s on you once your eyes have been opened.
Behold all things like a God and be emboldened.
Quit the blame game, your mind has been awakened.
If you choose to stay in the same state of stifling subjugation,
You may just have some masochistic inclinations.

I am a freelance writer living in West Palm Beach. I observe and write about nearly everything and everyone I encounter. I have learnt that if I look at the world carefully, and long enough, I see a reflection of myself in everything. After all, we are what we put into the world.
This is a very powerful and intriguing piece Nigel…and i must say, brilliantly written.
